5. I review the pre-work and schedule The Clarity Session
6. I meet with your teen live on Zoom to go over all their pre-work and talk strategy
7. You and your teen receive the customized next-steps plan within 48 hours of meeting

What exactly is The Clarity Session?

A one-time, high-impact experience that gives your teen clear next steps in one priority area of college planning. It is not a comprehensive counseling package — it’s a focused, expert-guided session designed to provide clarity, direction, and a personalized action plan.

What are the available Focus Areas?

Your teen chooses ONE of the following:

1. Summer Programs Strategy

What to apply to, why they matter, and how to build a strong application

2. College List + Admissions Strategy

Identifying schools that fit your teen academically, socially, and financially, understanding reaches, targets, and safeties, and planning out an application timeline

3. Major & Career Exploration

Understanding strengths, interests, and aptitudes and how they may correlate to potential academic and career pathways

4. Essay Direction

Brainstorming themes, angles, and stories that are authentic, meaningful, and aligned with future applications

5. Passion Project Development

Exploring interests and strengths to identify or refine a meaningful passion project, with clear next steps for impact
 

Choosing one Focus Area keeps the experience tight, intentional, and productive — so your teen walks away with a clear plan rather than a firehose of scattered advice.

Why only one Focus Area? Can’t we cover more?

Because clarity comes from focus, not volume.

The value of this session is in expert analysis, not in trying to cram months of guidance into one hour. Covering multiple topics dilutes the impact and leaves teens overwhelmed.

By focusing in one area, your teen will leave with:

• a clear direction
• step-by-step next actions
• confidence that their next steps are aligned with who they are and what they want
   

And if a family would like hands-on support in implementing the next steps,  your $499 investment can be credited toward an upgraded service. 

Is this just an hour-long counseling session?

No — the value is not in the minutes.
It’s in the expertise, the insight, and the clarity your teen walks away with.

Here's what makes it different from a standard hourly session:

• Assessments, transcript reviews, and tailored surveys are completed before the meeting
• The live session is focused and strategic
• You receive a customized action plan afterward
   

This is less “paying for an hour” and more “paying for the right expert to provide the right clarity at the right time.”

What if my teen has a lot of questions?

Great — but we stay laser-focused on the chosen area.
Any questions related to that Focus Area are welcome.
Broader questions or those pertaining to a different Focus Area will be deferred to a future meeting if the family decides to keep going.

What age/grade is this best for?

• 9th graders
• 10th graders
• 11th graders
   

This is not designed for seniors already deep in applications.

Do parents attend the The Clarity Session?

Parents are welcome to join for the first 5 minutes if they’d like. This allows for a warm handoff and ensures everyone is aligned on the teen’s chosen focus area.

After that, the session is intentionally teen-focused to support clarity, independence, and honest conversation.

Parents will still have full visibility:

• You’ll complete a 15-minute parent intro call with me before any pre-work is assigned, so your insights and priorities are heard and incorporated.
   
• A written summary + next-steps plan is provided after the session so you know exactly how to support your teen moving forward.
   

This structure gives teens the space they need and ensures parents feel informed, involved, and supported.

How long does the session last?

45–60 minutes or even longer, depending on what your teen needs.
But again — the real value is in the insight and the plan, not the clock.

What do we receive afterward?

A personalized Next-Steps Plan within 48 hours that includes:

• Key insights from assessments
• Recommendations
• Step-by-step action items
• Notes for parents
   

This is the roadmap your teen will actually follow — the deliverable that makes the session worth far more than the fee.

Can this be applied toward a future package?

Yes. If a family chooses to continue receiving my support in implementing the action items, the full session fee can be applied toward the comprehensive package
